By Air

Leeds is served by its own airport, shared with Bradford, which enables you to fly directly to London Heathrow, Amsterdam, and many other major destinations. Manchester International Airport also provides good access to Leeds, with express trains running directly from the airport to Leeds around the clock, and a journey time of around one hour.

By Bike

Sustrans is a charity that works on practical projects to encourage people to walk, cycle, or take advantage of public transport as an alternative to using a car. It is an excellent place to find routes and information about cycle networks not only around Wellington Place but across the UK.

Leeds has a frequent and efficient local bus service which serves Wellington Place as well as all other destinations in and around the city. Running every few minutes from 6.30am to 7.30pm Mondays to Saturdays, Metro's FreeCityBus links Leeds' rail and bus stations, business and shopping districts, the General Infirmary, Universities and Park Lane College.

National bus service

Wellington Place has quick and easy access to many major UK cities, such as Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham and London, via Leeds’ National Express service. Longer journeys will often have an attendant on board to offer passengers light refreshments and snacks.

By Car

Leeds is perhaps the best connected UK city by road, lying right in the centre of the country, halfway between London and Edinburgh on the A1 (now largely motorway), and halfway between the two coasts, linked to Liverpool, Manchester, the M6 and Hull by the M62. The M1 motorway runs from London to Leeds via Milton Keynes, Leicester, Nottingham and Sheffield.
By Train

Just a short walk from Wellington Place is Leeds City Station, one of the biggest in the country with regular trains to a huge range of destinations all over the UK. Journey time to either London St Pancras or London Kings Cross can be between 120 and 150 minutes. Newcastle is about 90 minutes away, Manchester and Liverpool both around 60 minutes, and York between 20 and 30 minutes.
